Not too long ago, you might have sat down after dinner or a long day at work, picked up your remote, and asked “What’s on TV?”
Today, the better question might be: “What isn’t?”
The days of being limited to “whatever’s on” are a thing of the past. With Video On Demand and TV Everywhere, two of the Advanced Cable services available from D&P Communications, you have an always-expanding menu of options for your free time. No more scrambling to get home in time for your favorite show — more and more, it doesn’t matter when you watch, and it doesn’t matter where you watch either.
First, let’s talk about Video On Demand. We launched this service in 2014, and since then, we’ve more than tripled the number of shows you can watch whenever you feel like it.
We recently added several Showtime series to Video On Demand, so if you’re a fan of Billions, House of Lies, Penny Dreadful, or Shameless, you can watch them at your convenience. We’ve also added a whole list of new and classic films from The Movie Channel.
That’s on top of the huge Video On Demand list we already had, which includes shows from HBO, Starz, Cinemax, TNT, Discovery, CNN, Fox News, the Big Ten Network, and many more!
To explore the literally thousands of programs available through Video On Demand, just hit the “VOD” or “On Demand” button on your D&P Cable remote, and start browsing!
We’re also happy to say that we are continuing to expand the list of networks available through TV Everywhere. Even if you haven’t used this service yet, you may have seen it on our billboards or read about it in our customer newsletter. With TV Everywhere, you don’t have to be anywhere near your home TV set — you can watch from a PC, a tablet, or a smartphone, anywhere you have an Internet connection.
It’s easy to set up. Just go to WatchTVEverywhere.com and select D&P Communications from the dropdown menu. The first time you use it, you’ll need to enter your account number and your preferred login information— and then you’re good to go!
We’ve recently added HBO Go to the TV Everywhere lineup, so you can watch hit shows like Game of Thrones, Big Love, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Encourage, The Newsroom and True Blood. HBO Go also offers an archive of past episodes, so you can catch up on anything you missed! Movies like Jurassic World, Pitch Perfect 2 and The Fault in Our Stars are also part of HBO Go lineup.
