Ron Schwalm joined D & P’s team as an IT Technician in November 2008. Ron works alongside our business and residential teams to provide technical support to our customers, as well as provisioning equipment for both business and residential installations. “I love supporting and working with our customers,” said Ron.
Ron initially was interested in pursuing Physical Therapy after high school. While studying, he experienced a snow mobile accident that left him paralyzed. During his recovery, he started to really take interest in computers and IT. Although his interest started as a hobby, Ron eventually decided to pursue IT as a career. He received his IT certification at Center of Computer Technologies in Monroe, MI. “I love that IT is never stagnate. It is always evolving, which means I am always learning,” he added. Ron is a Monroe County native and grew up in Deerfield. He currently resides in Dundee with his wife Jamie and their six-year-old son, Jaden. He loves spending time with his son, and loves all things sports. Especially, U of M’s teams. “I really love anything sports—basketball, football, U of M, Tigers, Pistons and Lions,” he said.
