Mesh Wi-Fi Network

Back

Don’t you hate when your Wi-Fi network doesn’t reach every room in your home? How can that little router in the basement reach all the way upstairs in a bedroom? Here’s where new technology comes into play. Mesh Wi-Fi networks can help extend that connection throughout your entire home. Now, how cool is that? Welcome to the year 2020 everyone!

What is a Mesh Wi-Fi Network?

A wireless mesh network is the latest technology that wirelessly connects all the devices in your home through nodes that are placed in different rooms or levels of a house. This device provides faster speed and more coverage than you can get with a router alone. The design offers a fluent connection integrated through the whole home that expands the coverage to a wider range and more reliable signal than a traditional wireless extender.

How does it work?

This mesh network technology uses a multi-user multiple input multiple output (MU-MIMO) format that streams the data simultaneously rather than in a sequence. This creates a network connection that communicates with itself among the wireless mesh nodes to extend the Wi-Fi across a large coverage area. This reduces Wi-Fi dead zones within the home to supply you with broader coverage. Instead of pulling signal from a single router, this system contains multiple access points on the same network that interact together. The product uses dynamic routing to find the quickest way for information to travel from the modem to the device and selects the most convenient route through the strategically-placed nodes.

Advantages of Mesh Wi-Fi Network

While this can improve the connection running throughout your home, mesh Wi-Fi networks have many other benefits that come along with this new broadband technology. Each system has a unique set of features that can improve your control on Internet access to the devices in your home. Many systems offer parental controls allowing you to make profiles for each member in the household and limit access to certain media or turn the connection off for any of the devices with the touch of a button. Depending on the type of equipment you have, you can customize all of your Internet options for your family and have more control over your Internet connection. Along with monitoring your family’s devices, this mesh technology can also protect your network against hackers with the most up-to-date security features available. Some can even provide motion detection systems through your wireless devices. This provides the peace of mind you deserve for your family and yourself.

So basically, with a mesh network you are taking your current Wi-Fi network and advancing the range and wireless communication in your home. Not only will you be able to have the speed you are paying for, but you will also be able to access the Internet with more coverage than ever before. In other words, no more roaming around the house for the best service areas. D & P Communications has some exciting things coming to advance the bandwidth connection for our customers. We are excited to share this technology with all of you soon.
